Craftsmen offer holiday open house

The public is invited to take a free self-guided tour of six working studio/galleries in Franklin County Friday through Sunday, Nov. 9 to 11.

Additional artists and craftsmen will be at the sites located from Waynesboro to Chambersburg.

The tour will feature 20 exhibitors along a 14 mile tour celebrating the work of the Cumberland Valley Guild of Craftsmen and the Mont Alto Pottery Cooperative.

Jewelry, handblown glass, pottery, furniture, basketry, lampworked beads, handwoven clothing, Shaker boxes and calligraphy illuminations will be available from the artists who created them.

Hours will be noon to 5 p.m. Friday and Sunday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

The Studio Tour is sponsored by the CVC Guild - a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting quality crafts for over 30 years.
