Heritage Christmas Lights of Love deadline approaching

If you want to be certain that the names of your loved ones appear on the Lights of Love scrolls, you must register by this Friday, Nov. 9. For $6 you can have one of the lights on the tree in Greencastle's square designated in celebration of, or in memory of, a loved one. For your donation, the name of the person you wish to celebrate or remember will be recorded on scrolls, which will be on display in the window of the First National Bank of Greencastle. The scrolls will be showcased at the Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will begin at 7 p.m., on the square in Greencastle, Friday, Nov. 16.

In addition, you can request that an acknowledgement card be mailed to the person you have honored. An acknowledgement card will still be mailed for requests received after Friday, but those names will not be recorded on the scroll.

Lights of Love forms are available at the Greencastle- Antrim Chamber office at 217 E. Baltimore Street and at all financial institutions in the Greencastle Antrim area. Forms need to be completed and returned, along with a check for $6 per name, to the Greencastle-Antrim Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 175, Greencastle, PA 17225. People wishing to participate, but not able to pick up a form, are asked to call the Chamber of Commerce at 717- 597-4610, to request that a form be mailed, faxed or emailed to them.
