J. Ines Magana Gonzalez, 35 Center Square, Apt. 302, was arrested following a disorderly conduct incident on Center Square at 2:40 p.m. Oct. 24. While on routine patrol, Greencastle Police Officer Eric Kamoie observed the 52-yearold man walking in traffic. When he spoke to Gonzalez, the man repeatedly struck Kamoie in the chest.
The officer took him into custody and put him into the rear of the patrol car, but Gonzalez kicked out the rear door window and damaged both rear doors. He had to be pepper-sprayed to be subdued. Waynesboro Police assisted. Gonzalez was then processed at the Greencastle Police Station.
He was charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, institutional vandalism, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned before District Judge Kelly Rock and remanded to Franklin County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
