Veteran's Day ceremony moved to new location The annual Veteran's Day observance will be held in a new location this year. As a way to introduce to the public five new flagpoles representing each branch of the military, the Greencastle VFW is hosting the service at 11 a.m. Nov. 11. Speakers at the event will include Bob Harris from the Franklin County Veterans Affairs Office, VFW Post 6319 Commander Roberto Jaime and American Legion Post 373 Commander Duane Schroyer. Boy Scout Troop 99 and Cub Scout Pack 13 will also participate. Lunch follows at the VFW. Historically, the event has been held near the borough office. The change is for this year only. |
