After the defense forced the Hounds to punt on their first pos- session, Andre McKenzie blocked the punt and Jordan Statler recovered the ball in the end zone for the Devils giving them an early 7-0 lead.
The answer came with just under four minutes left in the first quarter. The Hounds found the end zone on a 10-yard run around the right side. The first half did not contain a lot of action as the Devils managed just 58 total yards of offense and just two first downs. However, they managed to go into halftime with a 7-7 tie.
The Blue Devils got the ball on the opening kickoff of the second half. Dustin Barry got just enough on fourth-and-one to get the first down, followed by a 22-yard run putting the Devils in good position. Brett Phillips ran it in from one yard to cap off the 11-play, 66-yard drive.

Christian Hoover converted on the PAT to give G-A a 14-7 lead.
The Hounds got the ball back and marched down the field setting up first down on G-A's 18- yard line. Adam Ritchey put an end to the drive on the next play with an interception in the end zone and a return out to the 15- yard line.
The Devils had trouble generating offense and gave the ball right back on a punt. The defense held tough forcing a fourth-and ten, but allowed a reception and a new set of downs. An unsportsmanlike conduct call set them up at the G-A 35. On the next play, Stephon Walker recovered his second fumble of the game with 4:30 to play. Walker was replacing Paul Peer at linebacker, who came out with a fourth quarter injury.
Two plays later, Barry started out right and cut across the field following Ritchey's blocking to run for 55 yards. Ritchey followed the big gain with a 11- yard keeper up the middle for six putting G-A up 20-7 with 3:17 to play in the game.

Rusty Cordell shut down any last hopes for the Hounds on the first play of the drive with an interception return for 32 yards and a touchdown. Hoover's kick gave the devils a commanding 27-7 lead with 3:06 remaining. The defense did their job forcing a turnover on downs and the Devils drained the clock to hold on the victory.
Barry led the Devils offensively with 118 rushing yards on 17 carries. Ritchey gained 22 yards on two carries while Cordell had two carries for 20 yards. Barry also caught three passes for 22 yards while Ritchey gained 16 yards on two completions. Meyers went 5-for- 10 throwing for 34 yards.
Matt Copenhaver got the job done on defense leading with 11 tackles. Alex Izer recorded seven tackles, while Peer and Jared Smith each added five. Jesse Lenharr and Jared Doyle both made four stops for the Devils. The defense did a great job holding the Hounds to just seven points, who previously averaged 29 points per game.
The junior varsity fell to East Pennsboro by a score of 27-16.
The Blue Devils will meet Jefferson on Friday in a nonleague game at Kaley Field at 7:30 p.m.
