Izer and Bacon chosen as Students of the Month

Hannah Izer and Karl Bacon have been chosen as Greencastle Antrim High School Students of the Month for October.
The program, conducted during the months of the academic year, is sponsored by the Greencastle Lions and Greencastle- Antrim Lioness clubs. Selection of the students honored is done by faculty members and is based on service to school and community, extra curricular activities, academic standards, discipline and attitude.
The daughter of DeWayne and Teresa Izer, Hannah is an advanced placement student at GAHS, where she also is a member of the National Honor Society, Tri-M Music Honor Society and is on the Distinguished Honor Roll. She is also in the Field Band, Chamber Choir, Concert Band, Concert Choir, County Band, County Chorus and Jazz Band.
Outside of school she is involved in her church youth group and is a volunteer at the Antietam Humane Society. Hannah enjoys reading, music and hanging out with friends.
Hannah plans to attend college following graduation and become a veterinarian.
The son of Nate and Sally Bacon, Karl is also in the advance placement curriculum. He is a member of the varsity soccer team at G-AHS.
In addition to working on his Eagle Scout project, outside of school he is active in the Youth Fellowship at Marion First United Methodist Church, is a member of the Venture Crew 95, Boy Scout Troop 95 and the Greencastle Junior Sportsmens. He enjoys woodworking, blacksmithing and dirt biking.
Following graduation, Karl intents to attend college toward degrees in construction management and engineering.
