Local educator wins 2007 award Martina K. Fegan, Greencastle Antrim High School in Greencastle, has been named as one of 24 National Teachers of Excellence by the Secondary Section of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE). The award is based on evidence of excellent classroom teaching of English at the secondary school level. Each local affiliate of NCTE may select one person annually for this honor, submitting documentation to the national organization. Winners will receive a certificate and will be honored during the Secondary Section Luncheon at NCTE's annual convention in New York City on Saturday, Nov. 17. Recipients are nominated by NCTE affiliates. The Pennsylvania Council of Teachers of English and Language Arts nominated Fegan. |
