Paul E. "Skip" Kiner

Paul Eugene "Skip" Kiner, 52, of 3799 Mercersburg Road, Mercersburg, died at 5:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22, 2007 in his home. He had been in declining health since his illness began September 2005.

Born Aug. 10, 1955 in El Paso Texas, he was the son of Paul Edgar Kiner of Carlisle, and Doris (Devore) Byers of Waynesboro.

He worked as a machinist at Tyco Electronics Corporation in Waynesboro before retiring in 2005 due to his illness.

He was a member of the Avengers Motorcycle Club of West Virginia.

He and his wife, Cherie June (Shindle) Kiner were married in Winchester, Va. July 31, 1987. He has lived in the Mercersburg area since 1991.

In addition to his wife and his mother and father, he is survived by step-father, Ronald Byers of Waynesboro; four children, Nicholas C. Sellers and Shane G. Sellers, both of Mercersburg, Adam Flood of Blue Ridge Summit and Renee Bombita of Waynesboro; brothers, Doug Byers of Cumberland, Md. and Wayne Kiner of Madisonville, Tenn.; sisters, Lisa Snyder of Waynesboro, Chris Mena of Franklin, Tenn. and Chris Lucas of Carlisle; four granddaughters, Sabrina Marie Sellers of Mercersburg, Samantha, Raechel and Ericka Bombita of Waynesboro.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 in the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, 45 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle with Pastor Eric Beck officiating.

Burial will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery Greencastle.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 in the funeral home and one hour before the service on Sunday.
