Paul M. Hykes Paul M. Hykes, 91, of 2900 Brockton Dr., Kingsville, Md. and formerly of Greencastle and Fayetteville, died Friday evening, Oct. 19, 2007 in the home of his daughter in Kingsville, Md. Born Oct. 28, 1916 in Antrim Township, he was the son of the late Samuel and Freda (Knauff) Hykes. In his early life he farmed and then he worked at Corning Glass of Greencastle for 19 years retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Grace United Church Of Christ of Greencastle, where he sang on the church choir. Mr. Hykes was a former member of the Greene Township Lions Club. He was a 1933 graduate of Greencastle High School. His first wife, Janet L. (Smith) Hykes died Aug. 2, 1987. He and his second wife, Catherine U. (Rotz) Hykes were married Feb. 17, 1988. She died May 24, 2001. He is survived by a daughter, Rebekah J. (wife of Jerry) Bartos, of Kingsville, Md.; a grandson, Christopher Bartos of Kingsville; step-children, Gregory Rawlings of Chambersburg and Byron Rawlings of Fayetteville; and several step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Michaels. Services were held the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 24 in the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor James E. Hughes officiating. Burial was in the St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas. Memorial contributions may be given to the Grace United Church Of Christ, 128 East Baltimore St., Greencastle, Pa. 17225.
