Joy el Jubilee set Oct. 27

What has Belgian horses, hayrides, go-karts, a chicken barbecue, and a campfire? If you guessed Camp Joy El's annual Joy El Jubilee, then you guessed right! Saturday, Oct. 27, will mark another anniversary of this annual event as Camp Joy El celebrates 34 years of ministering to children and youth in the tri-state region. The Joy El Jubilee is open to the general public. Admittance is free and all events are provided at no cost.

Beginning at 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. this year's event has many things that everyone in the family will enjoy. Young visitors will enjoy hay rides, clowns, puppet shows, face painting, games, mini-golf, canoeing, archery and go-kart rides. Adults will find craft vendors, a bake sale, a concert by the Joy Chorale and homemade soups at the camp canteen. The whole family will have fun making s'mores around a campfire.

The chicken barbecue will be served from 11 to 3:30. Half chicken dinners will sell for $6 and quarter chicken dinners will sell for $4. Door prizes will be given away all day and one lucky child will win a free week of summer camp.

For information or directions, call Camp Joy El at 717- 369-4539 or visit the camp's website at www.joyel.org
