Fund raisers Chili cook off Food Lion grocery store will hold a Chili Cook Off to raise funds for Children's Miracle Network from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27 at the American Legion, 254 S. Carlisle St. Fourteen teams will compete for two trophies. Admission is $4 for adults and $2 for children under 12. Patrons will be able to taste the chili and vote for the team or chili through collection canisters. Farm toy and craft show NOVA- The Nova Area Ruritan Club will hold its annual Christmas Farm Toy and Craft Show from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 at the Rescue Hose Co. Special Events Center, 407 S. Washington St. The event will feature a tractor pedal pull for kiddies at 1 p.m. with prizes. There will be door prizes and food will be available for purchase. Make a Difference Day CHAMBERSBURG - Kindly Canines is coordinating Make a Difference Day Saturday, Oct. 27 at Shippensburg Health Care Center, Walnut Bottom Road, The Shook Home, Second Street, Chambersburg and HCR Manor Care, Stouffer Avenue, Chambersburg in support of the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter. Bazaar MAUGANSVILLE, Md. - The Cedar Grove Mennonite Church Women's Group will hold its annual bazaar from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1 in the Maugansville Community Center. The fund-raiser will feature handmade quilts, crafts, baked goods, potpie, soups and sandwiches. Athletic fund benefit HEDGESVILLE, W. Va. - InnerSpace Floor to Ceiling will present country music singer Mark Wills, with opening act Brynn Marie, to benefit Hedgesville High School athletics at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3 at the high school. Pork N' Sauerkraut Dinner CHAMBERSBURG - Central Presbyterian Church, Memorial Square, will hold its 61st annual Pork N' Sauerkraut Dinner, Bake Sale and Bazaar from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2. The bake sale and bazaar will open at 9 a.m. The event benefits the "House for Habitat" project of the church. Tickets are $7 for adults and $3.50 for 6 to 11. Five and under are free.
