First National Bank supports G-A Education Foundation

The First National Bank of Greencastle recently contributed $10,000 to the Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation. Greencastle-Antrim School District Acting Superintendent Greg Hoover and GAEF Executive Director Ginny Lays accepted the check from Jeff Shank, Chief Executive Officer and President of The First National Bank of Greencastle.
The First National Bank of Greencastle made a recent donation of $10,000 to the Greencastle Antrim Education Foundation (GAEF) through the Educational Improvement Tax Credit program from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for the 2007-2008 fiscal year.

The Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation is a registered, non-profit organization, administered by a diverse board of community volunteers. It channels tax-deductible contributions into grants and scholarships to provide additional educational projects and programs that directly benefit students in the Greencastle-Antrim School District.

"The Greencastle-Antrim Education Foundation is serving as a great go-between with schools and businesses for both sponsorships and partnerships between our schools and the business community," said Jeff Shank, The First National Bank of Greencastle's Chief Executive Officer and President. "The foundation's innovative educational programs enhance the school district's curriculum and that will pay dividends well into our community's future."

Ginny Lays, executive director of the Greencastle- Antrim Education Foundation, noted "we're hopeful that more businesses will follow in the footsteps of The First National Bank of Greencastle by contributing to our goal of academic excellence."

The First National Bank of Greencastle is a subsidiary of Tower Bancorp Inc. It has 16 offices located in Franklin and Fulton counties and Washington County, Md.
