Helen I. Truax Carbaugh Helen I. Truax Carbaugh, 72, of 5350 Apple Cross Ave., Apt. 3, Chambersburg, died unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, Oct. 6, 2007 in her home. Born Jan. 1, 1935 in Chambersburg, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mabel (Etter) Rummel. She had worked in the deli at Sunnyway Diner, Greencastle, and also at the former Stanley Co., Chambersburg. She was a member of the Greencastle Church Of God, where she was a Sunday School teacher and was active in the ladies ministry. While living in Greencastle, she attended the Otterbein United Brethren Church of Greencastle and served as a Sunday School teacher. She was a graduate of Chambersburg High School. She enjoyed listening to Gospel blue grass music, collecting bears and dolls. She is survived by her husband, Guy R. Carbaugh of Greencastle; a son, Michael S. Truax of Chambersburg; a daughter, Linda K. Truax of Frederick, Md.; three sisters, Mary Mills of Mechanicsburg, Jan Guyer of Chambersburg and Dotti Hines of Lehigh; and two grandsons. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter S. Truax Jr., in 1988 and by her second husband, Marlin Rotterbaugh. Services were held the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 10 in the Greencastle Church Of God, Greencastle, with Rev. Floyd E. Myers officiating. Burial was in the Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Gettysburg. Memorial contributions may be given to the Greencastle Church Of God, 4480 Buchanan Trail West, Greencastle, Pa. 17225 or to the American Cancer Society, 384 Floral Ave., Chambersburg, Pa. 17201.
