Court reports

The following cases were recently docketed before Magisterial District Judge Duane Cunningham:

Jason Lee Jackson, 25, Waynesboro, was charged with simple assault following an incident at 2 a.m. Sept. 16 at 1422 Milnor Road. Jackson allegedly head butted Joshua David Price, resulting in a head cut requiring stitches.

Corey Wayne Brindle, 22, 2916 Anna Mae Drive, faces multiple charges following one-vehicle crash at 2:21 a.m. Sept. 23 on Hykes Road just east of Route 16. Brindle was westbound in a 1988 Volkswagen Cabriolet Coupe when he left the road and struck a utility pole. He was transported to Waynesboro Hospital where his blood alcohol was measured at .189 percent. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, driving on roadways laned for traffic, careless driving, reckless driving and restraint systems.

A Mercersburg woman was stopped by Pennsylvania State Police after she was observed driving 80 miles-per-hour on Route 16 near Willowdale Road. Karen Lynn Pittman, 23, was charged with driving under the influence, careless driving, turning movements and required signals, overtaking vehicle on left and driving at safe speed at 12:44 a.m. Aug. 31. Her blood alcohol result at Chambersburg Hospital was .15 percent.

Pennsylvania State Police responded to a call concerning Kenneth Wayne Shifflett, 49, 9392 Antrim Church Road, who had allegedly threatened to shoot himself and had a rifle in his vehicle. He was located in the 9000 block of Antrim Church Road between 9:30 and 10:19 p.m. Aug. 30 and transported to Chambersburg Hospital. His blood alcohol content was .133 percent. He was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, no vehicle registration, careless driving, driving without lights to avoid identification or arrest and reckless driving.
