Commissioner forum set in Greencastle

The two Democratic and two Republican candidates for Franklin County commissioner will speak to issues facing Franklin County at a special forum sponsored by the Greencastle Antrim Democratic Club and the Greencastle Republicans. The candidates are Republicans David S. Keller and Bob Thomas and Democrats Cheryl Stearn and Bob Ziobrowski,

The forum will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 15 at the Rescue Hose Company fire hall community room at 842 South Washington St.

Refreshments will be served.

Greencastle Mayor Robert Eberly urged citizens to attend calling the meeting "an important opportunity for community participation."

Greencastle-Antrim Democratic Chair Ruth Jordan called the meeting an event "no voter should miss. The county commissioners play a key role in meeting the challenges the County and its Boroughs and townships face. Citizens need to hear their ideas and voice their concerns."
