Police reports

Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg recently issued the following news releases (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 264-5161.):

Someone threw two truck tool boxes over a bridge on Guitner Road at Feaster Road into a stream between 6 p.m. Sept. 27 and 2:30 p.m. Sept. 28.

Between 9 p.m. Sept. 26 and 6:50 p.m. Sept. 28, someone threw a brick through a front entrance glass door at I-Skate 81, 11440 Grindstone Hill Road.

Robert Sprecher, 29, 129 East Ave., State Line, was charged with harassment for spitting on Julia Sprecher, 28, and pushing her to the ground at 3:15 a.m. Sept. 29.

Dennis R. Logan, 27, Chambersburg, was charged with harassment for starting an altercation with David Cleveland Forrester, 51, at 30 E. Walter Ave. at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 26.

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:29 a.m. Sept. 22. Jesus R. Gonzales was driving a 1998 Ultra Legacy eastbound near 2578 Williamson Road and lost control on a right curve. He slid on his side across the westbound lane off the north berm. Neither he or his passenger, Tina M. Dixon, both of Sportsman Road, were wearing helmets. Gonzales received minor injuries. Dixon was taken to Washington County Hospital with moderate injuries. Police said the accident was alcohol-related and the investigation continues.

A 15-year-old Greencastle youth was charged with harassment for leaving threatening and obscene text messages for a 17- year-old Mountain Road, Chambersburg victim. The incident occurred at 5:30 p.m. Sept. 22.

Area police are seeking information concerning a rash of robberies in Chambersburg since Aug. 23. They believe most of the robberies were committed by the same white male. A black male committed two. Anyone with information should call PSP at 264-5161 or Chambersburg Police at 264-4131. Callers to Franklin County Crime Solvers at 263-3000 may remain anonymous.

The robberies include: Cigarette Discount Outlet, 975 Lincoln Way W. at 9:56 p.m. Aug. 23. The while male robber was approximately 5-8 and wore dark blue hooded sweatshirt, gray or black pants, white sneakers and white gloves. His face was partially covered with a blue bandana. He displayed a handgun. A tan vehicle was observed driving past the store just prior to the robbery;

Holiday Inn Express, 1097 Wayne Ave. at 2:50 a.m. Aug. 26. The white male was 5-9 to 5- 11 with a short blond hair goatee, wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt with white lettering, tan pants, white and black sneakers. He carried a handgun;

Super 8, 3648 Olde Scotland Road, 9:13 p.m. Aug. 26. The 5- 8 to 6-0 black male displayed knife;

Comfort Inn, 3301 Black Gap Road, 3:50 a.m. Aug. 27. The 5- 8 white male had a handgun;

Fairfield Inn, 1121 Wayne Road, 12:20 a.m. Sept. 3. The white male was described as 5-8 with short matted blond hair and a couple days growth of facial hair. He wore a dark gray or black hooded sweatshirt with 'Billabong' on the front.

Subway, 4178 Philadelphia Ave., 9:30 p.m. Sept. 12. Again white male, 5-8, with a black semi-automatic style handgun. He wore a blue hooded sweatshirt, tan pants and black ski mask.

Sunoco, 3448 Black Gap Road, 10:10 p.m. Sept. 17. The robber was a 5-9 black male with a black semi-automatic style handgun. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black ski mask, black gloves, blue jeans and white sneakers.

Police responding to a call of a loud disturbance at 12216 Mercersburg Road charged two men in the incident, which occurred at 12:54 a.m. Sept. 23. Shane L. Martin, 18, was cited for possession of brewed beverages and Joshua C. Martin, 22, was cited for furnishing liquor or brewed beverages to minors. The case has been filed through Magisterial District Judge Hawbaker's office.

Troop H of the PSP has been monitoring I-81 for aggressive driving and high speeds. August drivers cited for exceeding 90 miles-per-hour in a 65 mph zone in Franklin County include Steven E. Price, 21, Greencastle, 107 mph; Timothy Sims, 42, Columbia, Md., 94 mph: and William P. Adkins, 32, Fayetteville, 94 mph.
