Robert E. Angle
Robert Eugene Angle, 71, of 135 North Allison St., Greencastle, died at 12:43 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2007 in the Chambersburg Hospital.
Born Dec. 11, 1935 in Marion, he was the son of the late Henry C. and Ora H. (Martin) Angle.
He retired after 37 years employment with Mack Trucks of Hagerstown, Md. and in his earlier years he worked at the Frick Co. in Waynesboro.
As a young man, he attended the Welsh Run Church Of The Brethren and was currently a member of the Mountain View Baptist Church in Hagerstown, Md.
Mr. Angle was a 1953 graduate of the Mercersburg High School.
He was a member of the Fulton County Sportsman Association in McConnellsburg, member of the Greencastle Sportsman Association and a social member of the Harry D. Zeigler V.F.W. Post 6319 of Greencastle.
Mr. Angle served as a coach in the Greencastle Little League from 1975-1978 and managed an All-Star team.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and sports fan.
Mr. Angle enjoyed being with his family.
He and his wife, Regina F. (Repp) Angle were married Nov. 4, 1955 in Boonsboro, Md.
In addition to his wife of 51 years, he is survived by four sons, Steve Angle of Greencastle, Terry Angle of Rouzerville, Todd Angle of Chambersburg and Darren Angle of Shippensburg; two sisters, Nancy Greibel of Wisconsin and Doris Rife of Mercersburg; and six grandchildren.
Services were held the afternoon of Friday, Sept. 21 in Mountain View Baptist Church with Pastor Bill Clark officiating.
Burial was in the Welsh Run Church Of The Brethren Cemetery near Welsh Run.
