Police reports

Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg recently issued the following news releases (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 264- 5161.):

Between 8:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Sept. 16, someone stole a 1995 Dodge pickup from Food Lion Distribution Center on Commerce Drive. The vehicle belonged to Sandra Lynn Delauter. It is described as burgundy in color, twowheel drive, regular cab, chrome wheels, lighted running board, back bumper rusted. The license plate is PA YVG0147. Anyone with information is asked to call PSP.

On Sept. 9 at 1:25 p.m. someone stole eight aluminum wheels off two cars at Super Dave's Auto Sales, 1600 Buchanan Trail E.

Someone sliced a tire on a vehicle belonging to Hans John Kolmann at 14907 Sherwood Drive between 8 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Sept. 14.

Cynthia Keener, 44, State Line, reported the theft of her 2000 Toyota Celica between 1:30 and 3 a.m. Sept. 22. Someone took the keys from a known juvenile, 17, at 640 Mickey Inn Road, Chambersburg, and fled in the car.

A driver merging from the right lane to the passing lane of Interstate 81 southbound near Mile Marker 2 did not see a vehicle in that lane at 2:46 p.m. Sept. 20. Joseph Heizer, Middlebrook, Va., struck the right front portion of the 1995 Chevrolet Lumina driven by Lauren Bird, Smithsburg, Md., with the left front bumper of his 2000 Freightliner Ultra Sport. Bird spun into the median. Her injuries were unknown. Greencastle EMS assisted at the scene.

A4x8 piece of plywood fell off a vehicle, described as a pickup truck, and struck a 2000 Nissan Quest driven by James Lefferts, Hagerstown, on northbound I-81 near Mile Marker 5. The collision occurred at 2:25 p.m. Sept. 18.
