Falcons find 13 to be lucky
The junior varsity Falcons defeated the Eagles 13-0. Collin Blubaugh ran for 87 yards and 2 TD's followed by Tyler Graham with 19 yards rushing and a successful PAT. Braxton Matthews had 19 yards rushing. Blubaugh and Graham led the defense with 8 and 7 tackles respectively. Reese Kyler had 5 tackles followed by Zachary Koons with 4. Contributing 3 tackles each were Colin Runshaw, Matthew Christman, Matthews, and Casey Bard. The defensive shut out was complete with 2 tackles from Griffin Remenick and one each from Byran Eckenrode, Marcus Strauser and Matthew Chaney. The mid-varsity Falcons downed CV 13-0. Ashtin Byers ran for 58 yards and a score while Matthew Montedoro added 33 yards and a TD. Kristian Sheeley pounded out 37 yards on the ground and Desmond Wolfe tacked on the PAT. Byers and Montedoro led the defense with 8 tackles a piece. Sheeley had 5 and Nick Silva added 3 tackles. Elijah Webster, Wolfe and LeErin Plasterer had 2 tackles each. Dalton Webster picked off a CV pass. The defensive effort was rounded out with a tackle each from Clayton Hartman, Thomas Bowers, Michael Myers and Austin Rodriguez. The varsity Falcons closed the day's action with a 13-0 victory over CV. Dylan Piper ran for 93 yards and a score and Cameron Christman added 20 yards, a TD and PAT behind the offensive line of Chris Eadie, Coby Salmon, Ian Spencer, Ryan Hickey, Parker Blubaugh, Jensen Stoner, Ben Chaney and Aaron Peer. Jason Vinson had 32 yards rushing and Grant Murray rumbled for 14. Spencer had 6 tackles for the defense followed by Luke Myers with 4. Corey Hartman, Murray and Gabe Fridgen had 3 tackles each while Ryan Wolf, Hunter Szaflarski, Piper and Christman had 2 each. Finishing off the fine defensive effort with a tackle each was Vinson, Blubaugh, Matthew Myers, Dakotah West, Hickey and Chaney. The Falcons travel to Scotland to face the Scotland Broncos Sunday, Sept. 16. The JV kick off is at 12:30 p.m. |
