Shuster launches new and improved website WASHINGTON D.C. - Congressman Bill Shuster has launched a new website to serve as his virtual office on the Internet. The new website retains its old address and can be found at www.house.gov/shuster "The Internet is an amazing tool for me to use to get news and information out to my constituents," Shuster said. "This new site will serve as my virtual office on the web and a doorway to the 9th district. The site will reflect the important issues of the day, and contain useful information to make it easy for the people of the 9th district to get help from their government." Congressman Shuster's website has been totally redesigned, sporting an interactive menu system and an improved multimedia capability allowing for the posting of sound and video files. Another big addition to Shuster's website will be a blog that will allow quick posts and messages about the latest happenings in Congress. "The Internet has become an essential part of Congressional operations," said Jeff Urbanchuk, Shuster's Press Secretary. "Today, streaming video and legislative archives allow the American people unprecedented access to their government. Shuster's new website will take advantage of these and other emerging technologies to give the people of the 9th district a great online experience." |
