Chicken BBQ

A chicken barbecue and bake sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 in the parking lot of the Greencastle Livestock Market, 720 Buchanan Trail East, Greencastle. The sale is sponsored by the Greencastle Otterbein Church for the benefit of the Building Fund. Price is $4.25 per half chicken, prepared by BBQ by Ralph. To order in advance, call 328-3583.

Golf tournament

A golf tournament to benefit the Amanda Downin Memorial Scholarship fund will be held Saturday, Sept. 22 at Greencastle Greens.

The cost is $60 per golfer. The format will be a four-man scramble. Hole sponsors are available for $50.

Spaghetti dinner

QUINCY - Quincy Retirement Community Auxiliary is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. Satruday, Sept. 22 in Minnich Manor's Hess Room at Quincy Village.

The cost is $6.50 for adults and $3 for children 10 and under.

Proceeds will support Assisted Living and Skilled Care Programs.

Fall fest

WAYNESBORO - Mowrey's Fall Fest will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15 at 7891 Tomstown Road.

Yard sale/craft vendors are welcome at $10 per space.

The fest will feature a variety of carnival games and prizes, Baked goods sale, Cake walks, Pumpkin decorating, Face painting. Ambulance, Police and Fire apparatus on display.

Children may play all day on the inflatable attractions for one price of $5 per person.

Parking is free.
