The Blue Devils claimed the Ian McCleary Memorial Soccer Tournament by defeating host Red Lion and Greenwood in the season opening action Saturday.

The Devils held the home team scoreless in the opening game. An unassisted goal from Josh Higman and an Evon Wiestling goal from Jai Courter's pass put the Devils on the board. Goalkeeper Jon Zook had three saves to help give them a 2-0 victory.

In the second game, the Devils entered halftime with a 1-0 lead on a Wiestling goal. After the Tigers leveled the score, the Devils rallied to score the last three goals of the game. Wiestling started the scoring back up from a Josh Higman pass. Then Higman's deflected shot found its way over the goalkeeper's head and into the net. The Devils final goal came off a corner kick. Mac Frederick directed Courter's service into the corner of the net.

The trophies were presented after the final game at centerfield by the McCleary family.
