Fund-raiser planned toward new veteran monument
      The American Legion and Veteran's of Foreign Wars posts in Greencastle have joined together to raise the funds necessary to erect a suitable monument to those citizens of the Greencastle-Antrim area who gave their lives in all of America's wars in defense of our freedom.

Scouts offer 5K to raise funds
      Boy Scout Troop 99 in Greencastle will hold its first Almost Labor Day 5k Run and Walk Saturday, Sept. 1 as a fund-raiser for 20 Scouts to attend the Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron, New Mexico, one of the BSA's premier high adventure bases, in July of 2008.
