G-A Quarterback Club

The Greencastle-Antrim Quarterback Club meeting schedule for 2007 is as follows: Tuesday, Sept. 4, 7 p.m., G-AHS cafeteria; Tuesday, Oct. 2, 7 p.m., G-AHS cafeteria; Tuesday, Nov. 6, 7 p.m., GAHS cafeteria.

Youth sports program

WAYNESBORO - The Waynesboro YMCA is getting geared up once again for the youth sports programs. This is a chance for all youth (boys and girls) four years to eighth grade to participate in Saturday morning sports program. This season will begin with a seven week flag football program starting Sept. 15.

Sessions are age grouped and are one hour long to ensure that everyone has the same level of competition. Also, sessions are between 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday morning depending on which age group you are in.

Golf classic

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. - The 12th Annual Saint James School Golf Classic will be held Monday, Sept. 17 at Cress Creek Golf and Country Club.

The tournament, which supports student scholarships, is limited to the first 108 golfers. The entry fee for an individual player is $150. A Birdie Sponsorship is $500 and includes two players and your business name on the sponsor board. An Eagle Sponsorship, which is the tournament's most popular selection, includes a foursome and your business name on a tee sign. The Eagle Sponsorship fee is $750. All entry fees include a cart, greens fees, a wind vest, a boxed lunch, an awards reception and dinner, along with numerous prizes.

Registration begins at 10 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon. The format is a four-person scramble with USGA Scramble Handicap Rules.
