Public can support middle school through collection programs

The Greencastle-Antrim Middle School participates in programs to collect inkjet and laser cartridges, old cell phones, and Campbell Soup labels. These programs provide a great opportunity for local communities to help the school.

Businesses can adopt the school by collecting and shipping empty laser and inkjet cartridges to the Funding Factory. Collected cartridges earn points, which are exchanged for thousands of different technology products. Old cell phones may also be donated to help with this program.

Businesses or places of employment can adopt the school simply by contacting the Greencastle Antrim Middle School. This is a free program. Funding Factory provides the collection kits, boxes, and prepaid UPS shipping labels.

The middle school library also collects Campbell product labels. The UPCs are shipped to the company in order to earn books, encyclopedias, AV equipment, etc. Labels, cartridges, and cell phones may be dropped off at the middle school library or the middle school office.

Support is needed to make these programs work for the school community. To learn how you can support the Greencastle- Antrim Middle School recycling and Campbell Soup programs, contact Sandra A. Kendall, middle school librarian. The phone number for the middle school is 597-2185. The extension for the library is 2500.
