GED classes held in Greencastle

GED classes are beginning in several communities, including Greencastle-Antrim.

The staff of the GED program at the Waynesboro Area School District is busy preparing for the new semester of GED classes beginning soon at Greencastle- Antrim High School and Waynesboro Area Middle School.

Greencastle GED class registration will be held on the Tuesday and Thursday after Labor Day. Those dates are September 4 and 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Greencastle- Antrim High School in Room 107. Greencastle GED classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

Registration for the Waynesboro GED evening classes and the GED test will be held at the GED office, located in the middle school on Second Street, on the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings after Labor Day. Those dates are September 4, 5, and 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. Waynesboro GED classes are held four nights per week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Students signing up for classes are asked to attend two nights per week.

All GED classes are free of charge. There is a fee for taking the GED test.

Classes for GED (General Education Diploma) preparation are being offered by the Lincoln Intermediate Unit 12 at their Adult Learning Center, 305 W. Commerce St., Chambersburg.

Morning class hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Afternoon class hours are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. Evening class hours are Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.

Days and times may be selected that suit your personal needs. To enroll, just come to class. Classes are free to anyone age 16 and older who is not enrolled in a public school system.
