Kathryn L. Stotler

Kathryn L. (Barnhart) Stotler, 85, a resident of Menno Haven, Chambersburg, for over a year and formerly of Buchanan Trail West, Greencastle, died at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2007 in Menno Haven.

Born Sept. 8, 1921 in Antrim Township, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Clara (Spangler) Barnhart.

She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the family farm.

Mrs. Stotler was a member of the Greencastle Church Of The Brethren, where she was a children's Sunday School teacher, member of the Berean Sunday School class, served as a deaconess and a member of the Womens Fellowship.

She enjoyed embroidery, sewing and helped in making quilts for the church.

She and her husband, Harry V. Stotler were married April 12, 1941 in Hagerstown, Md. He died on Nov. 26, 1994.

She is survived by two sons, R. Daniel Stotler of St. Thomas and Larry E. Stotler of Greencastle; two daughters, Mary Louise Kendle of Mercersburg and Lois M. Covel of Kouts, Ind.; a sister, Marie Sheffler of Waldorf, Md.; a brother, Robert Barnhart of Shady Grove; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

Services were held the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 21 in the Greencastle Church Of The Brethren, Greencastle, with Pastor Leon R. Yoder officiating.

Burial was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Greencastle.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Mission Team of the Greencastle Church Of The Brethren, 36 S. Carlisle St., Greencastle, Pa. 17225.

Arrangements were handled by the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, Greencastle.
