Faith Raisers Summer worship Potluck Picnic, Praising and Preaching at the Playground will be held on six Wednesdays this summer at the Jerome R. King Playground and sponsored by the Greencastle First United Methodist Church. Summertime worship with friends from church and community will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29 (Nelson pavilion). For information, call 597-3007 or 597-4216. Cathedral in the Pines CALEDONIA - The Cathedral in the Pines Outdoor Worship Services, an outreach ministry sponsored by the Franklin County Sunday School Association, continues each weekend through Labor Day weekend, Sunday, Sept. 2, across from The Totem Pole Playhouse in Caledonia State Park, east of Chambersburg off Route 30. Sunday School classes will be lead by the following on Aug. 26: adult - Mary Lou Wenger; junior high - Suzanne Kraft; primary - Nancy Peckman; preschool - Morgan Peckman. Special music will be by Tim Mangan. Benches are provided, however, patrons are welcome to bring lawn chairs. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held in The Totem Pole Playhouse. A free-will offering will be taken. Camp meeting KAUFFMAN - The 55th annual Camp Meeting of the Church of the Brethren will be held Aug. 25 through Sept. 2 at Rhodes Grove Meadows Conference Center, 7693 Brown's Mill Road. Evening worship services begin at 7:30 p.m. on all days except Saturday and Sunday, which begin at 7:15 p.m. Sunday services are as follows: 9:30 a.m., Sunday School; 10:30 a.m., Morning Worship; 2 p.m., Sunday afternoon Adult and children's services; 7:15 p.m., Evening Worship Service. The Saturday evening, Sept. 1 event will have a special youth emphasis. Concert STATE LINE, Pa. - Bill and Karen Itzel and Family will appear in concert at 10:15 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26 at State Line United Methodist Church, East Ave. Bill Itzel sang with "The First Family of Gospel Music," the Spears. In the summer of 1990, he married Karen and resigned from the Spears and started a family ministry in 1991, ministering in about 130 churches and concerts each year. The have written more than 150 songs and travel with their children, Jessica, Ryan and Shannon. Back-to-school rally MERCERSBURG - The First Pentecostal Assembly of God, 20 N. Park Ave., will hold a Back-to-School Rally at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 26. School supplies will be given to all school age students. Featured speaker will be Rev. Wendell Ross.
