Open letter to Greencastle-Antrim community It is with thankful hearts and a great deal of humility that this letter is written. To say that the Old Home Week Pageant was well-received would be an understatement. You people were a wonderful appreciative audience and that is what makes our efforts so worthwhile. THANK YOU! While preparing for this event, the cooperation from everyone in the community was awesome. There were over 75 cast members out there begging and borrowing props and costumes. Everything from fire company equipment, antique wagons, picnic baskets and a real live Christmas Tree in August to a track and field starter pistol (which worked most of the time). Seems like when you say Old Home Week, people offer you whatever you need, then ask if there is anything else they can do. I don't know what the pageant would do without the contributions from all you citizens. We are so fortunate to live in such a caring, sharing community. Sharon and I, as co-chairmen, along with our committee and all members of the band, chorus and cast want everyone to know that we appreciate your support, and we've had such fun that "If the Good Lord is willing and the creek don't rise," in three years, we'll do it again. Most sincerely, Dody Clever and Sharon Baumbaugh Co-Chairmen Old Home Week Pageant Committee |
