On the shoulders of giants-Charlie Witmer points out an interesting train layout from his perch high atop Grandfather Buck Witmer's shoulders during the Waynesboro Model Railroad Club's Open House at Waynecastle from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday of Old Home Week .Event organizer Lee Scott said the club welcomed about 250 visitors of all ages during the four-hour Open House. The club's next public open house will be Sept. 22 and 23 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the same weekend that Mainline Hobbies in Blue Ridge Summit sponsors tours of layouts in this area that attract visitors from as far away as Virginia and eastern Pennsylvania.
