Local student wins Dodge scholarship

CAMP HILL - Zack Meyers of Greencastle has been awarded a $1,000 college scholarship as part of the Dodge Division 2007 FFA Scholarships for Farm Bureau Families. Meyers is the son of the late Stanley Meyers and Gina Miller. Gina and her husband Charles Miller are Franklin County Farm Bureau members.
Agraduate of James Buchanan High School where he was a member of the Conococheaque FFA Chapter, Meyers plans to study dairy science at the Pennsylvania State University, Abington campus.
Meyers is one of 50 scholarship recipients from across the United States. The scholarships are awarded on behalf of Dodge dealers, including Shively Motors, Inc. of Chambersburg to FFA members who are planning to attend college and also are from Farm Bureau families. The Scholarships for Farm Bureau Families recognize FFA members for their supervised agricultural experience programs (SAEs), academic achievements and other school and community accomplishments. Dodge Division and Daimler- Chrysler Corporation Fund sponsor the scholarships as a special project of the National FFA Foundation.
