Pearl L. Egolf

Pearl L. (Hawbaker) Egolf, 73 of 6900 Molly Pitcher Highway, Chambersburg, and a resident of Falling Spring Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg since June 27, 2007, died at 8:20 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007 in the Chambersburg Hospital.

Born Aug. 15, 1933 in Montgomery Township, she was the daughter of the late Levi M. and L. Katharine (Dentler) Hawbaker.

Mrs. Egolf was a homemaker and had served as secretary for the Tri-State Blue Grass Association in Brunswick, Md.

She and her husband, J. Daniel Egolf were married Sept. 20, 1958.

Mrs. Egolf enjoyed cooking and baking.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Burkholder and Lois Swope, both of Chambersburg; two step-brothers, Andy Bricker and Dean Bricker, both of Chambersburg; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Ellis O. Hawbaker, Aden L. Hawbaker and Bernard A. Hawbaker; and a sister, Bertha M. Byers.

Services were held the morning of Monday, Aug. 6 in the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Pastor Richard E. Egolf Jr. and
