Merle and Beulah Cordell have invited the community to come enjoy Cordell Gardens during Old Home Week. The Cordells will offer free tours of their gardens, which are filled with thousands of summer flowers in full bloom, including 22 varieties of canna lilies and dozens of potted geraniums stretching over five feet high. The gardens are located at the Cordells' residence on Grindstone Hill Road, three and a half miles north of Route 16 east. Beulah Cordell said no reservations are necessary, and invites visitors to enjoy the gardens anytime during daylight hours. "Visitors may come at their pleasure," she smiled.
