Mary C. Parmer Mary C. Parmer, 96, a resident of Morning Glory Retirement Home, State Line, Pa., and formerly of Hollowell Church Road, Waynesboro, died at 2:30 a.m., Saturday, July 28, 2007 in the home. Born July 9, 1911 in Greencastle, she was the daughter of the late Daniel H. and Minnie (Bowman) Bowders. She and her husband, Charles S. Parmer Sr. were married Feb. 23, 1929. He died Dec. 15, 2005. Mrs. Parmer was a homemaker. She is survived by a son, Charles S. Parmer Jr. of Waynesboro; a grandson, Douglas Parmer of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Anna M. Mayhugh Miller of Waynesboro and Margaret Gelwicks of York; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Julia Bowders and Corrine Stoner; and four brothers, Merle, Robert, Melvin and Ralph Bowders. Services were held the morning of Wednesday, Aug. 1 in the Harold M. Zimmerman And Son Funeral Home, Greencastle, with Minister Shelley Graybill officiating.
