Court reports

The following cases were recently docketed before Magisterial District Judge Duane Cunningham:

Mary Amanda Medina, 68, 165 E. Grant St., was charged with driving under the influence and various traffic offenses after she was observed driving erratically by a Greencastle police officer. The officer saw her leave the Sheetz parking lot at 2:26 a.m. July 21 in a 1992 Dodge CP. She ran over the curb and collided with a parked vehicle at 402 N. Carl Ave. She was arrested and transported to Waynesboro Hospital. Her BAC was .122 percent.

Following a single-vehicle accident at 3:21 a.m. July 4, Gregory Robert Helfrick, 43, 13790 Molly Pitcher Highway, Lot 4, was charged with two counts of driving under the influence, driving on roadways laned for traffic and careless driving.

Pennsylvania State Police responded to the report of the accident on Hill Road. Helfrick had crashed a 1995 Buick Century into a utility pole and was transported to Washington County Hospital. The officer went to the hospital and received permission from Helfrick to obtain a blood sample. The blood was taken to the Chambersburg barracks to be entered as evidence and then to the PSP Harrisburg lab for testing. Helfrick's BAC was found to be .28 percent.

Pennsylvania State Police responding to a disturbance call at the Comfort Inn on Pine Drive charged a Greencastle woman with possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Rebekah Jane Schroer, 20, 14194 Molly Pitcher Highway, was charged in the incident which occurred at 10:55 p.m. April 28.

Christina Marie Hockman, 20, Chambersburg, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop at midnight July 11 on Buchanan Trail West. She was driving a 1995 Ford Bronco and weaving on the road. She was arrested and transported to Waynesboro Hospital. Her BAC was .129 percent. After processing at Greencastle Police Department, she was released to the custody of her mother.
