Jemsion charged in home invasion

Jemison
HARRISBURG - A former Greencastle-Antrim High School football standout was arrested along with two others last week in connection with a home invasion robbery in Susquehanna Township.

Mike Jemison, 24, whose address police listed as 419 Horton St., Philadelphia, Jai-Michael Hudson, 23, of Penbrook, and Lashawn Sanders, 20, address unknown, were charged with robbery, burglary, aggravated

assault, conspiracy, theft, reckless endangerment and unlawful restraint by Susquehanna Township Police.

Police reported receiving a call around midnight Wednesday, July 11 from a man who said his apartment on North Progress Avenue was broken into and that his girlfriend may have been shot. According to the news release, the three suspects forced their way into the home, hit the man on the head with a pistol and forced him onto the balcony and held his girlfriend to the ground. Police said the man jumped from the balcony and called the police. The men, police said, stole a handgun when they left.

The apartment complex was sealed off by Susquehanna Township, Penbrook and Paxtang Police Departments. Penbrook police stopped a car with two men inside, later reported as two of the suspects. The third was stopped on foot by a Paxtang officer.

Police reported finding a bag containing two pistols near the crime scene. One was a .45-caliber and the other a .25-caliber. Police said the bag also continued a New York Giants official football team identification card and team apparel.

Jemison, Hudson and Sanders were placed in the Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $200,000 bail.

Jemison set football records while playing at G-AHS. He graduated in 2001 and played college ball at the University of Pittsburgh and Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where he also set records as a running back before suffering a broken leg. He had been signed by the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers and played on their practice squads and with NFLEurope. Jemison reportedly had been signed last fall by the New York Dragons of the Arena Football League.

According to Pennsylvania court records, Jemison was also awaiting trial on unrelated charges dealing with an incident while he was with the Giants. The charges include hindering apprehension, unsworn falsification and making a false report in which someone was falsely incriminated. No further details are available.
