Fourth of July 2007

As had been done years ago, children at the Fourth of July celebration at Tayamentasachta gathered for a group photo. One of the winners of the "Most Patriotic Family" contest at the celebration was, from left, Paige Seilhamer, Kelly Harmon and Cameron Seilhamer. The Garlings were also named "Most Patriotic." They are Scott and Annette with children Alaina, 6 1/2 months, Audrey, 4, and Anna, 5. Amber waves of grain gave way to huge bales of straw on this Fourth of July along Ridge Road in Antrim Township. Owen Plum is happy with the celebration. An old-fashioned candy scramble pleased the children in attendance. Russ Clever led the children in the parade that has been renewed as a tradition on the Fourth.
