From the portfolio of Shaye Painter
Editor's note: Shaye graduated from Greencastle-Antrim High School in June following an internship with the Echo Pilot during the second semester of her senior year. She will be attending Kent State University in the fall toward a career in photo journalism. Today we feature some of her favorite photos. We thank Shaye and wish her well in her future plans.
This is the front of the student center at Kent State University where I will be attending in the fall as a Visual Communications major.
After one of this winter's snows I went out and took some couple shots of two of my friends for their two year anniversary. This one was taken at Renfrew Park in Waynesboro.
There are lots of tiger lilies along the back roads of Southern Huntingdon County.
Montana has snow on the ground even at the end of May when it is 70 degrees out or more.
I took this one at Cowan's Gap on my drive home one day from Orbisonia.
This is a picture going down the road in front of my family's farm house in Southern Huntingdon County right after it rained.
Mexico has a beautiful desert landscape and the sunsets there are beautiful. The one above was taken at a dam outside of the city of Chihuahua.
Cooling off in the "Jig" is a favorite for lots of people in the area. This is one of my friends from out of town making a splash during his first visit to the Jig.
I visited Montana last May and we drove from Washington state through Idaho to Montana and this is one of the rivers we saw on our way back to Washington.
During the winter ice can create beautiful photographs.
