Safety theme of day camp Aug. 1

WILLIAMSON - The 2007 Franklin County Farm and Home Safety Day Camp will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1 at the Chambersburg Rod & Gun Club.

The camp is for ages 7 to 18.

The cost is $4, which includes lunch, accident insurance and safety materials.

The registration deadline is July 27.

This is a fun and effective way to teach youth about safety through hands-on demonstrations. Youth will learn practical information on the following topics: Disability Awareness, Storm/Lightning Safety, Basic First Aid, ATV Rollover Safety Demo, Animal Safety, Firearm & Knife Safety, Hidden Hazards, Tobacco Prevention, PTO/Corn Picker Demo Safety, Electric Safety, Hand Washing/ Keeping Healthy and Smoke House/Fire Truck
