Fund Raisers Praise Team in the Park First United Methodist Church will present Praise Team in the Park at 7 p.m. Sunday, July 8 with a concert at Jerome King Playground. Witness Ministries Group will be serving ice-cold watermelon during intermission to all those who come to enjoy the evening of music. Summertime worship Potluck Picnic, Praising and Preaching at the Playground will be held on six Wednesdays this summer at the Jerome R. King Playground and sponsored by the Greencastle First United Methodist Church. Summertime worship with friends from church and community will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesdays, July 11 and 18 (Nelson pavilion) and Aug. 1, 15 and 29 (Nelson pavilion). Washington St., now has the following summer worship schedule: Sunday worship service with Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month is at 9 a.m. Following the service there is a coffee hour in the Luther Room. Sunday School will begin at 10:20 a.m. The informal Saturday evening service with Holy Communion remains at the same time of 5 p.m. The public is most welcome to attend these services. Golf outing The ninth annual Exchange Club of Greencastle Golf Outing will be held Friday, July 20 at Greencastle Greens Golf Course. The fund-raising event will be a 1 p.m. shotgun start, four-player scramble. The $65 cost includes green fees, carts, meal and prizes. Hole sponsors at $100 are also available. For information, call 360-0014. Golf tournament CARLISLE - The Drew Michael Taylor Foundation will hold a four-person scramble tournament at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6 at Eagles Crossing Golf Course. The event cost is $60 per golfer and includes lunch, beverages and prizes. The foundation's goal is to fund area educational programs and scholarships.
