Police reports

Pennsylvania State Police in Chambersburg recently issued the following news releases (Information on any of the cases should be called to police at 264-5161.):

Roy Thomas, 73, impacted the driver side door of another vehicle with his 1999 Peterbilt 379 after exiting I-81 at Exit 3 north on U.S. 11. Thomas stopped at the stop sign, then turned left onto the roadway into the path of Cliff Nunemaker, 47, driving a 1998 Mazda Protégé. The Mazda continued to the east side of the road. Nunemaker received minor injuries. Damage to the Peterbilt was light and to the Mazda severe. Both men were from Greencastle and a citation was filed. The accident occurred at 4:43 p.m. June 27.

Someone used a VISA debit card belonging to Twila Stahl- Davis, 55, 385 Colonial Drive, Greencastle, to charge $84.95 on the account without her knowledge or permission. The action occurred between June 22 and 27.

Larry McKelvey, 40, Greencastle, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic violation stop at 2:14 a.m. June 27 at U.S. 11 at Hykes Road.

Roland Wilhelm, 31, 7153 Grindstone Hill Road, was the victim of a burglary between 4 p.m. June 25 and 7 a.m. June 26. Someone entered the residence after breaking a window and damaged the interior and took copper pipe.

Both parties in an altercation received charges following an incident at 5:30 p.m. June 24 on West Avenue at Mount View Street. A 17-year-old juvenile from Clear Spring was cited for disorderly conduct for spinning his tires, causing rocks to be thrown onto the vehicle belonging to Robert Myers, State Line. Myers was cited for harassment for then slapping the youth in the face after an exchange of words.

Pennsylvania State Police continue to monitor traffic on Interstate 81 in Franklin County for aggressive driving and speeding. They use marked and unmarked cars and airplanes to clock motorists. Two vehicles were cited in June for driving at 91 and 93 mph.
