The Mason Dixon Blaze 12U fast-pitch tournament team finished well in two recent tournaments. Blaze was second in the silver bracket at the Memorial Day Madness tourney. The team went undefeated in the Thunder Pony Qualifier. Team members include, from left: first row - Cassey Cordell and Taylor Rogers; second row - Jen Yingling (bat girl), Haleigh Regal, Amanda Wink, Amber Forrest and Casey German; third row - Mariah Yingling, Patti Kotrady, Callie Good, Taz Mellott, Haley Thorn, Kortney Gipe; and fourth row - Dan Cordell, Scott Forrest, Rob Thorn and Troy Yingling. Local players on the travel team include Cordell, Kotrady, Gipe, Regal and German from Greencastle; and Good and Yingling from Waynesboro. Earlier in the season the team claimed second place at the WARC Winter Thaw in York, earning a berth to the USSSAWorld Series.
