University of Western Australia

GREGORYW. WARREN
PERTH, Australia - Dr. Jeffrey Walck, son of A. Richard Walck of Greencastle and the late Dorothy Walck, will be a Research Fellow for two years at the University of Western Australia in Perth starting in July 2007.

This position is a collaborative partnership between Kings Park and Botanic Garden, the University, and the Millennium Seedband Project at the Royal Botanic Garden (Kew, UK).

He is currently an Associate Professor of Biology at Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro, Tenn.

North Carolina Central

University of Law

DURHAM, N. C. - Gregory W. Warren, son of Rev. Wayne A. and Norma J. Warren of Greencastle and the grandson of the late David S. and Thelma M. Warren of Greencastle, received his Juris Doctorate degree on May 5 from North Carolina Central University School of Law.

Warren has worked for the past 17 years at Syngenta Biotechnology, Inc. in Research Triangle Park, N.C. as a research scientist, Director of Research and most recently as a Patent Agent. He holds an M.S. degree in Entomology from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Ky. and a B.S. degree in Biology from Bethany College, Bethany, W.Va.

He is married to Sharyn L. Warren of Shreveport, La. and they have two children, Benjamin and Sara.

Grove City College

GROVE CITY - Rebekah Pasquarello, daughter of Thomas and Crystal Pasquarello of Greencastle, was among 550 graduates of Grove City College May 19.

Pasquarello received a Bachelor of Music degree with a major of music/business. She is a 2003 home-schooled graduate.

U.S. Deputy Attorney General Paul McNulty addressed the class during commencement and Rear Adm. Alan T. Baker, U.S. Marine Corps Chaplain, was the baccalaureate speaker.

Shepherd University

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. - Daniel Chlebowski of Chambersburg and Amanda Hollida of Greencastle were among 581 students receiving degrees at Shepherd University's 134th commencement May 19.

Albright College

READING - Jessica N. Higgins of Greencastle, graduated from Albright College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in art/philosophy during the 148th commencement ceremony May 20. She was part of a graduating class of 325.

Anne L. Stevens, the newly appointed chairman, president and chief executive officer of Carpenter Technology Corporation, addressed the graduates.

Grace College

WINONALAKE, Ind. - Lauren Diane Crawford, daughter of Lester and Ginerva Crawford of Greencastle, graduated from Grace College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and All-grade Special Education.

The commencement ceremony took place at the Orthopaedic Capital Center on the Grace College campus May. 5.

Crawford was placed on the Dean's List for the spring 2007 semester. Full-time students who achieve a minimum semester GPA of 3,940 or above and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.3 are eligible to be placed on the Dean's List for that semester.

Pennsylvania College of

Technology

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Evan James Strausner of Greencastle, received an Associate of Applied Science, Building Construction Technology degree in May from Pennsylvania College of Technology, a special mission affiliate of The Pennsylvania State University.

Harding University

SEARCY, Ark. - Tara Steward of Greencastle was among the 650 graduates who received diplomas in commencement exercises at Harding University May 12.

Majoring in marketing, Steward received the Bacholor of Business Administration degree.

The ceremonies were held in Ganus Athletic Center with Arkansas Gov. Mike Beebe as the featured speaker.

Harding had a record enrollment this year of more than 6,100 students from 49 states and 53 foreign counties.

Shepherd University

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W. Va. - Several local residents have been named to the Dean's List at Shepherd University. They are: Daniel Chlebowski of Chambersburg, Karen Bitner of Greencastle and Samantha Willard of State Line.

To be eligible for the Dean's list, a student must maintain a 3.4 grade point average for the semester and carry at least 15 hours of course work or be in a professional teaching block.

Pennsylvania College of

Technology

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. - Kraig J. Kline of Greencastle, has been named to the Spring 2007 Dean's List at Pennsylvania College of Technology.

Kline is seeking an associate degree in Applied Science, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Technology.
