Extension offers babysitting series What happens when there is an emergency while you are babysitting? Will you know the right procedures to help the child? A 4-H Babysitting Course will be held to learn the proper ways of handling any situation while babysitting. Penn State Cooperative Extension is offering this opportunity to all youth ages 12-16 who want to learn more about babysitting. There is no need to bring any supplies and there will be books distributed to all those who participate. The sessions will be held for six weeks on Mondays from 4 to 5:30 p.m. beginning Monday, June 25 and conclude on Monday, July 31. Registration deadline is Monday, June 18. The cost is $25, which includes program materials, a Babysitting Project Book, and the Red Cross Babysitting Guide. Those who complete all the requirements will receive a certificate of completion. All of the meetings will be held at the Penn State Cooperative Extension Office, 181 Franklin Farm Lane, Chambersburg.
