Barbecue and bake sale

A chicken barbecue and bake sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16 on the parking lot of the Greencastle Livestock market, 720 Buchanan Trial East.

Sponsored by the Greencastle Otterbein MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), the sale will feature BBQ chicken by Ralph and is priced at $4.24 per half. Baked goods and side orders are also available for sale.

Farmer's Market

BLUE RIDGE SUMMIT - Mountain Top Heritage Days is sponsoring a Farmer's Market every Thursday from 3 to 6:30 p.m. on the grounds of the Blue Ridge Summit Fire Hall, Route 16 and Monterey Lane.

A variety of baked goods, fruits, vegetables, flowers and herbs are available.

Citicorp Ride for Life

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The 3rd annual "Ride for Life" benefiting the American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life" will be held June 23. The approximately 100-mile ride departs from Citicorp, passes through the scenic rolling hills of South Central Pennsylvania and Western Maryland, and concludes at Harley-Davidson of Williamsport, Md. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the ride departing at 9:30 a.m.

Entrance fee to the event is $20 per bike and all drivers will receive a commemorative pin. Additional pins are $10.

Used vehicle drive

HARRISBURG - Extra Mile Ministries is accepting used vehicles from throughout central Pennsylvania to support the ministry. A tax receipt will be given to the donor in return.

Free towing is provided. Operable and inoperable vehicles of all kinds are accepted.
