Eberly throws hat in supervisor ring

Larry Eberly has announced that he is a candidate for Antrim Township Supervisor.

Eberly has been in business in the local area for over 35 years, and has been involved in the building business for most of his adult life.

"I have dealt with municipal officials, property owners, state and local regulations, and am very familiar with the process and working with these regula tions," the candidate said.

Eberly believes the townshi needs to complete some projec that have been started, and b cautious about starting some thing new such as the new town ship complex. "I think we ma need some office space, but w do not need a complete new complex," said Eberly. "Further feel that the property on Antrim Way would serve the community much better as a tax producing business complex rather than a municipal space."

He thinks that the township should be actively soliciting business development in the township. "The current board built the Grindstone Hill Connector road approximately seven years ago, and there has been no development there yet. We should be promoting this area for small business," he added.

Eberly currently serves on the governmental affairs committee, and the legislative analysis subcommittee, and is Regional Legislative Officer for the Pennsylvania Builders Association. "I feel this experience helps him to understand the workings of both state and loc government," he said.

Eberly believes another are of local concern is growth in th residential sector.

"We all know that growth a such is inevitable. But prope managed growth will protect an preserve the small town way o life that we as residents of th area have enjoyed for man years and which draws new res dents to our area," Eberly said.
