Elmer C. Donaldson Jr. Elmer C. Donaldson Jr., 79, of 200 North Allison St., Greencastle, died at 5:10 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 10, 2006 in the Penn Hall Nursing Center, Chambersburg, where he has been a resident for over two years. Born Aug. 10, 1927 in Jeannette, he was the son of the late Elmer C. Sr. and Elizabeth Jean (Peden) Donaldson. He was employed at Mack Trucks, Hagerstown, from 1962 to 1970 and last worked at the Frick Co., Waynesboro. Mr. Donaldson was a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greencastle, where he served on the church council and on the food pantry committee. He was also a member of the Frank L. Carbaugh American Legion Post 373, Greencastle. Mr. Donaldson was a graduate of Jeanette High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He and his wife, Helen C. (Clark) Donaldson were married Nov. 27, 1948 in Fredonia. In addition to his wife of 57 years, he is survived by a son, Kim A. (wife of Susan) Donaldson of Greenbackville, Va.; two daughters, Lisa E. Donaldson of York Beach, Maine, and Wendy S. Donaldson of Glen Burnie, Md.; a brother, Glenn Donaldson of Greensburg; a sister, Jean Kline of Spotsylvania, Va.; two nieces; and two nephews. Services were held the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 13 in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greencastle, with Pastor Martin Horn and Chaplain Robert Keener officiating. Burial will be in the Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 14. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the Evangelical Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 130 N. Washington St., Greencastle, Pa. 17225 or to the Penn Hall Nursing Center, 1425 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, Pa. 17201. Arrangements were handled by the Harold M.
