Churches should gather each month to pray for our nation Where were you Aug. 27 from 5 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday evening? You missed a chance to praise the Lord and pray for this nation at Shalom Christian Academy. I want to thank them for having it inside account of rain that day. The gym was filled with people who were from all different churches. We have many different churches in our country and only one God and his word the Bible. Jesus said, "Love God and your neighbors." That is how it is supposed to be. Keep his commandments and you will have eternal life. Hunter Martin, winner of the pre-teen contest for the Sunday School Association, sang a solo. She did a great job. The Couriers sang songs of praise to the Lord and we all sang some songs with them. A ladies' quartet and mens' quartet paise group from the Chambersburg Baptist Church sang. They all did a great job in singing and praising the Lord. We should do this more often each day. We should keep praying for this nation and all the service men and women fighting for us and our country. Not just once a year, but each month churches should get together and have prayer meetings and pray for our nation - pray that God will hear our prayers and praise that he will have mercy on us. This is how America can be saved. Nick Walsnovich Greencastle |
