Cathedral in the Pines

CALEDONIA - The Cathedral in the Pines Outdoor Worship Services, an outreach ministry sponsored by the Franklin County Sunday School Association, continues Sunday, Aug. 27, across from the Totem Pole Playhouse in Caledonia State Park, east of Chambersburg off U.S. 30. The 10:30 a.m. services will be held each Sunday through Labor Day.

Sunday School classes Aug. 27 will offer the following leaders: Steve McLlveen, adult; TBA, junior high; Theresa Blackwood- Rice, primary; Dawn Rheam, preschool. Special music will be provided by Wingert Brothers Men's Quartet.

Benches are provided, however lawn chairs are welcome.

In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held in the Totem Pole Playhouse.

Afree-will offering will be taken.

Friendship Sunday

Friendship Sunday will be held at 9 a.m. Aug. 27 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1186 Jason Drive. Various committees and groups of the congregation will have displays and information sharing and celebrating the ministry of Trinity before and after worship. Special music will be provided by Chrissy Faith during the worship service. A brunch will be provided for everyone after the service.

Bumbaughs

CHAMBERSBURG - Singing in the Barn will feature Tony Gore and Majesty and the Bumbaugh Family on Saturday, Sept. 16. Free admission and dinner are provided. Donations are accepted and there are no tickets. Dinner is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. with the concert beginning at 6:30 p.m. The barn is not heated or air conditioned, so dress appropriately for the weather and the barn. The barn is located at 2778 Mont Alto Road.

Free meal

The Antrim Assembly of God, 11192 Bemisderfer Road, will have a free meal in its fellowship hall on the first Wednesday of each month. The meal will begin at 6 p.m.

Prayer Shut-in

Praying Time Ministries will host a Prayer Shut-in from 7 p.m. Aug. 25 to midnight at 45 Railroad St., Greencastle.

There will be prayer and a time for sharing in God's Word.
