Greencastle’s entry into the Little League Inc. Junior (13-14) Division won the Seciton 7 Tournament in Kennett Square last week, advancing the team to the PA State Tournament. Greencastle went 3-1 in the tourney, defeating District 23 Octorara, 8-3, and District 28 Oxford 5-3 to earn the top seed. The local team then fell to Oxford 10-3, creating a must-win Monday. Greencastle came through, beating Oxford, 14-4, winning the Section 7 championship. The state tournament is an eight-team bracket beginning July 29 in Robinson Township in Pittsburgh.
